xmodmap for Swiss German keyboard

Hello,

I would like to change the keymap (on a Slackware 12 based system) with with the command "setxkbmap xy" to Swiss German.

# setxkbmap sg
Error loading new keyboard description

Questions:

- Is there a special Xmodmap file for a Swiss German keyboard required?

- To what folder should that keymap file be copied (once available/found)?

Thank's a lot in advance for any help!

John

Try 'setxkbmap de' (de is Germany, no entry ch)
And if you use KDE, choose Switzerland or Germany in Kontrolcenter:
>Regional...> Keyboard Layout

Edit: Sorry, the sg entry might be 'setxkbmap sg-latin1'
