xmodmap autoload in Slack w. Dropline Gnome

Hi!
I'm using Dropline Gnome 2.8. I have tried several ways to make the command
Code:
xmodmap -e "pointer = 1 2 3 6 7 4 5"
auto start when I start X. I'm entering runlevel 4. I have that xmodmap code pasted at the end of the file: /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc.gnome but it doesn't work.

Where should I put that code then? Oh, and my /home/user_name/.xinitrc or /.xsession doesn't exist...

Thanks for your help.

Try creating a .Xmodmap file in your home directory and then put this in it:
Code:
-e "pointer = 1 2 3 6 7 4 5"

I did as you said but gnome gfives me this message upon startup:

Warning:
You have a keyboard remapping file (.Xmodmap) in your
home directory whose contents will now be ignored. You
can use keyboard preferences to restore them.

I don't know how can I restore it in keyboard preferences...

I don't use Gnome so I can't help you there. I would just put the command in the xinitrc.gnome file before gnome is started(before the exec gnome-session command).
