xmms loses connection then can't reconnect, current 64 in vbox
current 64 in vbox, both up to date
xmms will be playing internet radio for several hours, I go out to lunch come back, xmms will be playing static.
Hit stop button, try to play a station, xmms tries to reconnect and reconnect but can't. This just recently started happening, worked fine for over a year.
I don't know what system resource xmms might be using to stop/start or restart to get it back, rebooting gets it back.
This not a big deal I'm just curious, thanks.

How are you resolving your DNS? I'm using DNS installed in a chroot on my Slackware server and every one in a great while, it just stops. Next time I would ping the url and see if it comes back. Also have you restarted xmms?

not xmms problem
DNS resolved thru DHCP.
When xmms can't connect it says pre-buffering, flashes station, then goes back to pre-buffering, this repeats until exit xmms, happens with all playlist urls.
Just tried mp3 in xmms, time playing flys by, similar behavior with other music players.
Went to youtube and played random video, seems like whatevers happening isn't xmms, videos play but are like double speed and there's no sound.
