xmms glib pointer error / flac solution

I am funning slackware 10.1 with dropline gonme and slapt-get.

Using Dropline gnome I make sure that my gnome is up to date and with slapt-get my slackware 10.1 system is fully updated.

I found that xmms no longer will start. I receive a segfault error and some crap about glibc pointer error.

Anyways from what I have gathered through googling the problem is related to the flac plugin. From the flac mailing list:

the bug came in with the http streaming patch and is only
fixed in CVS. sorry about that...

So by going into the /usr/lib/xmms/Input directory and simple removing the:

libraries will resolve the issue.

Or you could build flac from cvs.
