Xine http input plugin & proxy

Hi,

I'm unsuccessfully trying to play audio streams through HTTP with Amarok. I'm behind proxy, have properly set HTTP_PROXY and http_proxy environ. variables, even in xine config. file are correct data for http_proxy_host, http_proxy_port, http_proxy_user and http_proxy_password. I can connect through with any other application without problems, but xine http_input plugin fails with error "unable to resolve hostname for http://musicserver.domain:port/stream.ogg". I have to find the solution with xine because I'd need it for Kaffeine media player too.

What could be wrong ?

I've run tcpdump but it shows up xine library ignores proxy settings, ie. proxy server is not contacted. What would you suggest next ? Check the sources ?

Not yet.
Google for a config example and diff with yours.
Maybe you just have a typo in your config file.
