Xfree to Xorg

Hey,

I just wondered if any of you had any info on how i can remove xfree and install xorg on slackware 9.1. If you have any ideas please post them here as looking on google sends back alot of things about gentoo.

Is it possible for me to merge slackware-current with my 9.1, like upgrade sort of thing

Thanks in advance

you could download the xorg source packages from slackware 10, and compile them on your machine. i used used them in redhat 6.2 and they worked great. you may or may not have to upgrade a few packges, but it was rather painless. i've been using it for a week now.

You could removepkg xfree and its components, download xorg and its components and installpkg them. Make the needed alterations to your config file and rename it to xorg.conf and then see if there are any other dependencies you need to meet. Sorry I can't be more specific but if I was going current, I would go completely current.
