xfce4 disable screensaver

I'm trying to disable screensaver from xfce but apparently every 15 mins or so of inactivity brings me back to a crude login screen which looks like a xscreensaver unlock dialog screen from a previous generation. It's a white screen with the username and you won't even know if it's asking for a password until you enter one. Any ideas what this is.

Here's what I've tried. Remove xscreensaver package and even rss-glx package (from SBo). Yet every few minutes, the screensaver comes back. There's also no xscreensaver process still running. Perhaps there's another package that needs removal and thought I'd ask here if someone knows.

I'm using xfce 4.8.x installed via Robby's packages.

- Thanks

I had a similar problem.

"Preferences" menu then "Screen"
has second means to be able to lock the screen. Perhaps this is causing your problem?
