XFCE, xffm w/ image previews
I've been using XFCE for a little while now, but only recently have I started to use xffm (XFCE's file manager) to organize my files. For some reason, I cannot get the image-preview function to work in xffm. Anyone have any ideas what might be wrong? All the verbose diagnostics windows says is "invalid argument <image.jpg>" This is sort of frustrating since I'm trying to organize pictures. I have pictures of all sizes, from couple kb to several mb, so I doubt it has anything to do with the file-size limit for auto previews.
I'm running slackware-current without gnome. Any suggestions will be appreciated!

hehe... that's actually lethal weapon 4...
yeah, i found-out about thunar a few days ago... it seems like it's gonna be awesome... that's really good cuz the current file manager for xfce really sucks... it's like XFCE's weakest point... i'm glad they realized this and decided to replace it with something fairly decent...

slightly off the point... in the xfce menu, how would you make it to look for programs in another directory other than /usr/bin ? the reason being i've got a couple of programs installed in /usr/local/bin (most important one being xine) but they are not listed on the xfce menu...

oh... well, i'm not sure... in fact i wasn't even aware the menu was looking in /usr/bin, i thought it just used *.desktop files from /usr/share/applicatons or something... what you could do is use the menu editor and then add the programs you want with that... sorry i can't be more helpful, i just don't know how to make it look for stuff automatically...

actually i might be wrong in stating that it only looks in /usr/bin as when i installed mplayer yesterday in /usr/local/bin it is now listed in the xfce menu but other programs in the same directory such as xine, realplay are not...
i looked in the /usr/share/applications directory and it seems like nearlly all the non-kde programs are listed in there bar a few others such as mplayer are on the xfce menu...
edit: looking in to the matter further it appears programs that have a
*.desktop entry in .../share/applications are only listed in the xfce menu...
now need to find out why xine didnt create such an entry in ...share/applications as i compiled in from source...
