I have two computers that show the same icons in the toolbar of xfce, but in a third one the toolbar is different. Here is the settings of the icons for the toolbar on xfce terminal emulator?
The theme of those icons seems to be dictated by the general icon theme of XFCE itself (Menu/Settings/Appearance/Icon tab).
You can add icon themes to ~/.icons directory in the form of "folders" containing icons, etc.
