xfce menus

Okay...let me say this as is.

Installed 12.0 but did not install kde. i have in the past and it seems to find all the programs(xsane, etc.); but xfce does not autoconfigure the menu in the same way. I am missing alot of programs cause slack has a lot of programs. i am not sure if I should add dirs to the auto menu, break things i am good at. would like to know some ways you use to add menus auto if possible.

thanks John

I think any programs with a xxx.desktop file at /usr/share/applications/ will show up on the Xfce menu. So you might consider adding a .desktop file there for the program not shown on the Xfce menu.

I was hoping to avoid that. But thanks for the reply. Didn't feel like tweaking it that much.

Don't feel like tweaking it that much?.....You might be using the wrong distro....thats what I love about Slackware.
