Bunsenlabs and antiX are probably the best distros when it comes to DE in my humble opinion. I've noticed an issue with mtp and newest XFCE don't know if was mention already.

The latest at my end is the CSS option fails in 15 too.
My latest round of testing indicates the CSS option is functional. Perhaps I am doing something odd in my testing that causes the option to fail or succeed.

I wonder if the CSS tweak depends on compositing or some such? Essentially, it sets the tooltip to "invisible/transparent" so may depend on display compositing. You may note, when it works, hovering over an icon causes a slight "flutter" of the border: the tooltip pops up, but is not visible.
Yep, turning off display compositing disables the CSS tweak to blank out the tooltips.
I haven't yet checked but that makes some sense. I distinctly remember toggling compositing off in my test rig.
I disabled compositing because the conky display was "raised" in some kind of embossed box. I want the conky display to blend transparently into the desktop background.
I guess the problem now is how to disable tooltips without affecting conky.
Despite the icon theme selected, in my testing the power manager systray icon is flat, possibly one of the contrast icons.
Anybody else see this? Is there a fix?
Edit: The Xfce power manager icon in the system tray is the high contrast battery-full-charged.png. Most if not all of the themes have this icon. I tested a default fresh Xfce4 desktop and despite testing many desktop and icon themes the power manager icon is always the high contrast icon theme. Something seems broken?

I think that all non-specific application icons in the task-tray are kind of flat, and that fits well with the task-tray. I tried many different icon themes, and I have removed them all, because the default "elementary Xfce dark" is the one I like the most.
