As far as I recall it was images in Ristretto which did it for me. Ristretto depends on libraries which 4.14 doesn't have so I couldn't use it and had to revert to 4.12.
What type of images? I haven't seen any problems with "standard" image types. I am also using ~10 additional dependencies that are not included in Slackware, but none of them are image related (I think).

With Xfce 4.14 rworkman's packages, Audacious wasn't switching to Winamp interface.
I don't remember if I did or install something to make this happen. Is it just me?
After build Audacious and audacious-plugins (taken from source -current tree) with
Xfce 4.14 present, it is working ok, Winamp skins are loaded again.
ps- I didn't test, but I think only audacious-plugins has to be built again,
since it contains 'skins.o' and all winamp interface skins.

Reason: make clear that it is related with xfce 4.14

If you are running ristretto 0.8, try upgrading to 0.10. I have been running it for more than a month now on Slackware current, no issues so far.
Would it be possible to add the link to Robby's packages to the first message of this thread?
Only a moderator/admin might have that ability. LQ removes the ability for users to edit posts after 14 days. I imagine moderators have extended or indefinite time to edit posts, but can't confirm that.

I have been using Xfce since the kde-4.0 mega-disaster, and over the years have become very comfortable with it. OTOH, I'm disappointed they still haven't included a built-in GUI menu editor after all this time.
As recently mention in the Xsnow thread, a few hours ago I deleted all the Xfce-4.12 configuration files and did a "fresh" installation of Xfce-14.14.
This isn't the first time I've used Xfce-4.14 and this installation just confirms the conclusion reached after each previous use, and, that is, as an "end user" I see absolutely no advantage to "upgrading" to Xfce-4.14. None.
Under the hood, so to speak, it might be full of technical improvements, but, if so, they are not evident to this "end user."
Back to Xfce-4.12.

Back to Xfce-4.12.
In other words, it's at best an incremental improvement over 4.12, which is *exactly* what the developers were aiming to do. There aren't any big changes because there weren't supposed to be -- the primary goal was simply to port it over to GTK3 from GTK2. In short, I'm unsure what your complaint is :/

Regardless, if ones' Xfce-4.12 setup is working fine, there are, at this time, no obvious improvements in Xfce-4.14 that warrant installing it.
IMHO, of course.
Hello, will the xfce terminal 0.8.8 from current work on a 14.2 stable system? I saw that both current and stable use xfce 4.12 version but in stable the terminal is on 0.6.3 version.

Suddenly, the keyboard volume keys, via the pulse audio plug-in, no longer work in Xfce-4.12 or 4.14, but do work
in KDE.
I haven't spent much time looking for a solution, but what little I've tired, e.g., deleting configuration files and re-installing hasn't work.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
