Question XFCE Font not displaying properly

Installed slackwre for first time.
Evething went wel.
All config...
except Fonts...
my KDE had also probs( Konsole and Browser address bar were not displaying fonts). But i repaired it by kcontrol->Appearance-> keyboard layout(US ENGLISH),...

But i XFCE the problem persists. I cant see fonts in Terminal and Brwser.. how to change this setting.....

xorgconfig done..chose US english keyboard layout:-)..

Somewhere i am missing soemthing....
may i know wat?

I'm confused a bit. Do you mean that the text/fonts don't display correctly or do you mean you can't type them? Keyboard layout affects what you can type, it has no effect on what is displayed in a window.
