xfce complains about missing cache file for icon themes, pkgtool does not help

(-current) Well I don't understand why running gtk-update-icon-cache with help pf pkgtool command does not resolve the issue.

Run the command “/usr/bin/gtk-update-icon-cache /usr/share/icons/hicolor”

change /usr/share/icons/hicolor for your icon folder

you got that little triangle thingy. if I remember correctly put mouse pointer over it and it gives you which set to update the cache using above command.

The icons display fine without the caches, though, unless something has changed. The reason we (Slackware) elect to not generate the caches by default is that if the cache is not updated after a new icon is installed, that particular icon will *not* display until the cache is updated.
