xf86 configure


what is the command in slackware to configure your xf86 config file? I googled and it says xf86config but I run the command and it does nothing?

what is the command and do I run it as root/ normal user?

Slackware uses X.org instead of Xfree86, so the comamnd is xorgconfig and the config file is on /etc/X11/xorg.conf

hey

I had this problem earlier

to switch user type

su -

make sure you have the - minus/hyphen sign....

then type xorgconfig

or Xorg --configure (for auto conf file generation)
