xcuse me: no ANSI code on linux?
so long..
well, maybe my question is SO basic, but I'm really wonder why I cannot get chars thru the conbination ALT + #ANSI-VALUE. (maybe it's a different procedure than in windoze) how does it work in linux in general, and in Slack in particular? greetz |
That works but only in console, you could use kcharselect KDE tool to select
character in a X session, else you have to play with xmodmap or similar X keyboard controls |
thanks 4 answer, keefaz..
Don't know why I didn't try it on a console before..you're right: it works.. :D About xmodmap: I saw its man-page, but must recognize I'm ~t0o SlAcK~ to try get it working that way  ..so, the easiest thing to do is use the kcharselect app. thanx again! |
