Hope someone would email me the step by step instructions on how to configure xchat from kde to join #slackware chat or any other chat of my choice relating to linux. just don't know that is why i'm asking for assistance. either that or irc channel.
I think if you connect to freenode, there is a #slackware channel. Those guys have helped me in the past. Freenode should be listed by default.. Under your server list.
peace and happy ircing
step by step. open xchat. at command prompt type xchat and then go to X-chat menu listing and select "Server List" then select freenode from the list on the right, connect. Then type /join #slackware
