X11R7.1 feedback ?

Hi, I would like to hear few opinions of those who installed X11R7.1 (probably from source right, no slackware packages yet right ?). Is it worth the while to install it or should I stick with the 6.9 version, what are the advantages, any big bugs, stuff like that !? Thanks alot.

I use it for experimental r300 drivers (Mesa CVS can only be used with the latest X.Org). You can also use XGL with it (I don't) and fiddle stripping out bits you don't want all day.

Other than that, from the end user point of view, if you don't want XGL or experimental drivers, you won't gain much from using X.Org 7.x
