X11 packages configurations
 

Hi all.
I would like to upgrade to KDE 3.2.2, but i need Xfree86 pkges i can not find, so i downloaded X11 ones from Slackware current.
Where can i find informations on hot-to install and config them?

You say you have already downloaded x11 packages. I assume you downloaded the current Slackware packages so my directionss are based upon that.From console removepkg all of the xfree packages that are installed. You can see what they are by typing ls /var/log/packages/xfree* . Then installpkg all of the X11 packages. It by default will look for its config at /etc/X11/xorg.conf but if it isn't there it will use xf86config okay. Your old conf should still work okay. It did for me. Good Luck

Ah! OK! I though about editing some file.
Do you know if there are problems with NVidia?
I am running kernel 2.4.22.

My nvidia still works fine. Some have said they had to upgrade to the newest version, not sure if that is what I have or not. Mine worked fine as soon as I changed over.
