X window system

I have a properly configured xf86config and I use KDE. Is it possible to switch through the virtual consoles <ctrl-alt-F(X)> without losing your display? Will it even display multiple X sessions to the same monitor? Also, what is the correct way to display an X session over a remote connection? Do I have to have an X enabled client on my remote machine if other than Linux? When I start a remote X session, will I still be able to simultaneously have an X session at the physical machine?

Sorry for all the questions Thanx!!

You can switch to other consoles only if you use text login (runlevel 3) and then start the X server.

to switch to console 1, ctl-alt-F1
to switch back to X, ctr-alt-F7

can't answer your other questions
