Welcome to LQ!

Pretty much impossible to offer help without any more information than that.
Why don't you read this How To Ask a Question thread and then repost.

It happens to an old monitor I've and 've heard that sound in others, it's just bad hardware... you've to live with it or turn off the monitor and work with ssh or vnc (like I did :P).

This could indicate your video timings are set incorrectly. If you have the wrong settings for your monitor you can physically damage it. What you're hearing is the electrons being steered incorrectly.

I knew I should have included the confs in my original post.

Acording to that webpage your monitor section should be like:

Code:
Section "Monitor"
    Identifier "My Monitor"
    HorizSync 30-50
    VertRefresh 50-110
EndSection

I tried it. Same thing.

Slackware and Xorg both work fine with my other monitors. I still haven't figured this out. Please, if you have any suggestions, post here.

just a suggestion, but if it's an older monitor, tone down your settings...this is what i use on an older hp monitor...it will give you 800x600 but it's quiet...

Section "Monitor"
Identifier "My Monitor"
HorizSync 31.5 - 37.9
VertRefresh 50-60
EndSection

No go. I've tried numerous different combinations. None of them work.
