X not starting up properly after upgrade, need help...

Hello all...

I have just updated a number of my packages in Slackware 10.2 including the x11 packages. When I start up my Linux now, I receive messages about sendmail not being able to read certain libraries (even though I do not think this is the cause of the problem), then init begins X which pops up for a few seconds and then switches back to the startup text and just hangs. My X won't start, has anyone else experienced this before and if so, how did you resolve the issue?

Look at the /var/log/Xorg.log file for clues ... could be as simple as the mouse device.

You may need to run Xorg -configure again.
