Hey everyone, I just reinstalled slack AGAIN, and everything seemed to be working correctly, but X wouldnt startup. I tried to run XF86Config, as root of course, and bash gave me an error saying that it wasnt a command or directory. So after a few times of this not working corrrectly, i coulndt figure out how to configure X, i tried editing it and no luck, so i reinstalled thinking that maybe something was corrupt during the install.
I get it up and running, and at the command line, and try XF86Config, and it worked, ok so far...but then, i type startx and and it starts to load KDE, but it just hangs at a grey screen, and the mouse pointer is an X. and nothing happens. I exit out with alt+ctrl+backspace, and look at my log, and it doesnt say anything errored....
I am puzzled.
If anyojne has any suggestions, please feel free to let me know, i wanna get this up running, and not worry about configuration for a while, just sit back and enjoy slack...THANKS
