X-config question / SuperProbe

Where is the xf86config located in SlackWare 8.1?
I just installed it and the command "xf86config" doesn't work. The guide in slackware.com/book/ told me to use this command. I did choose the X packages and they are installed.

Also the "SuperProbe" command can't be found.

Ok I found the xf86config and I am running it. So far so good, but I have one question:

I am at the "how much video memory do you have on your video card?"

I have Asus AGP-v7700 Geforce 2 GTS
Iit has 32mb memory? If I choose the other what number should I use? Kilobytes? How much is 32mb in kilobytes then?

EDIT: ok it would be 32000k so I am wondering how can the largest option be 5) 4096k ?
Is it ok then just to choose the 6 other and insert 32000?

SuperProbe was provided with Slack 8.0. But it is not part of Slack 8.1. I am just guessing, but it probably caused too many problems or wasn't able to perform as it was originally desired. Hardware is changing so quickly.

It may be that it was replaced with another program. I have found that /usr/X11/bin/xf86cfg program will configure some that the default VESA mode driver doesn't work well with.

If you are looking to identify hardware, I can suggest the commands "scanpci" and "cat /proc/pci" can be used.

I believe the "SuperProbe" program was done away with when version 4.x of X came out.

xf86config will get you set up. Personally, I prefer Xfree86 -configure, but that requires a bit of reading in the man pages to tweak the file.
