wrong time


My computer clock is completely wrong, it is 22 hours ahead. How can I fix it? I dont know know if my hardware clock is utc or not

date -s 9:54

Why when I type date in the terminal it shows the correct date.......but my gnome date thing on the menu is different?

I don't know for gnome, but this command update successfully with fluxbox and kde...

Did you set time region or something similar ? Are only the hours different or the hour + minutes ?

So it is a region/internasionalisation problem with your gnome, I don't know gnome at all to help you how to set this...

Hopefully there are some other slackware users here who use gnome

Be sure to choose the right settings. Should fix you up.

I didn't know this tool

But he said that date display correctly in a terminal (??)

Maybe a problem with offset? I know myself, I set the time with "timeconfig" and rebooted. Checked the BIOS time to make sure it was correct, and never looked back. Maybe check the BIOS clock using the BIOS menu?
