WPC54G on Slackware 12.2
I have a WPC54G net adapter on my laptop, and nothing was particularly enlightening on the similar threads.
I have been using openSuSE 10.2, and had to mess around for about a month to get the wireless working right under Ndiswrapper. I don't like Ndiswrapper too much, it tends to give me problems... I couldn't make bcm43xx work right on SuSE.
The SuSE is slow, doesn't update right, and is just messed up in general, so I figured, why not slackify a new machine?
I think Slackware 12.2 has bcm43xx installed, so do I need to fwcut?
if so, what should I look for to cut?
Basically, what I need to know is what might I need to do to get the card to work? I don't want to stick with the SuSE, but if I can't get the wifi working under slackware, then I'll need to stick with it.

Oh no! I just did as the site said:
I downloaded the fwcutter
I downloaded the driver
I extracted the firmware into /lib/firmware (I did this 2-3 times because I was worried that the firmware did not work...)
I modprobed b43
I installed wicd and rebooted
when I connected with wicd, I got an IP, but I could not open up linuxquestions.org in firefox.
I looked in /lib/firmware, and I did not find the extracted driver pieces.
