wkhtmltopdf version 0.12

Hi there

I have build version 0.12.2 for Slackware current and it works

But how do I complie it that it does not require X

I get cannot connect to x server

I tried the .deb build it works on slackware 14.0 but not on current

libpng12.so missing

I would rather build it for slackware static

Some pointer would be great

thank you

Lawrence

as for deb, they are linked to the packager's machine library, not to your current machine
Also, current is now using libpng 1.6.x, not 1.2.x.

Guys thank you for your replies

I managed to build wkhtmltox version 0.12.2 as required bu www.odoo.com ( openerp)

The problem is it will only run from X and i need it to be static \\

How can I compile it with its own qt OR make a script so it does not require X

The current Slackbuild is not supported by any newer programs and is not even the same name

Regards
Lawrence

Ok after some RYFM

I realize that there is its own version of qt in the wkhtmltox source file

I tried to compile it but keeps quitting

Any Ideas ?

Regards

Lawrence

Finally figured it out ..

You have to build a special QT from

https://github.com/jcsalterego/wkhtmltopdf-qt

then build wkhtmltox with the patched QT

Copy lib to /usr/lib64

and binary to /usr/bin

Restart and everything is OK
