With or without KDE?

Hi,

Im installing slackware 10.2 right now and Im planning to use Dropline Gnome as my GUI. NOT KDE at all.

Should I install KDE first and then Gnome on top of it, or should i pick KDE out from Slackware install, and do a clean Gnome install?

I vote for Not Installing KDE at all.

I would go for the clean "DROPLINE-GNOME". No KDE from slackware CD.

There is no need to install KDE if you are not planning on using it.

Thanks for the inputs :)

I did a clean install, no KDE.

It worked 100% :)

I'm interested in this and curious...did you just install the base packages and then boot to a command prompt so as to install your Gnome environment? What did you do at that point -- use the Dropline Installer?

EDIT: Nevermind, I see that it comes as an ISO so that's easy enough.
