Wireless utilities for xfce

I recently got Slackware 12.0 to successfully dual-boot with Vista on my HP dv6000 laptop. I use xfce since its light on system resources and I want to extend my battery life. I've tried some searches on this site and using google, but given that I don't really know exactly what I'm looking for, its hard to find. Anyway, my problem is this: I have the drivers for my wireless card installed, but I don't really know how to make use of it. Is there some utility that I can add to the systray to help manage my wireless connections?

It'd be nice if I could get a systray icon for my laptop's battery status as well.

Thanks!

There's a nice battery plugin here: http://goodies.xfce.org/projects/panel-plugins/start

There are also panel plugins for wireless (status only), XMMS, weather and more. I know of no wireless utility for XFCE4.

I've been packaging most of the xfce-goodies for a long time now - have a look:
Packages: http://rlworkman.net/pkgs/12.0/xfce4-goodies/
Sources and build scripts: http://rlworkman.net/pkgs/sources/12.0/xfce4-goodies/
