wireless usb?????


I have a Dell truemobile 1300 wireless usb card. How do I get it to work under slackware linux?

or pay 20 bucks for this http://www.linuxant.com/driverloader/

i've read that ndiswrapper does not support usb and i do not want to pay any money.

the module your looking for is linux-wlan-ng and that card is listed in the compatable list as well.

and ndiswrapper site says -
NdisWrapper

Some vendors do not release specifications of the hardware or provide a linux driver for their wireless network cards. This project provides a linux kernel module that loads and runs Ndis (Windows network driver API) drivers supplied by the vendors.
Status

The driver works quite well on many builtin cards as well as PCMCIA (Cardbus only) cards. Some USB cards are also supported.


The only place that specifically says trumobile 1300 usb is the one that costs 20 bucks

linuxwlanng's device list and ndiswrapper info I have seen mention mini pci with the same model number so......................
