Wireless Lan w/ 9.0

Hello,
I was just wondering if anyone knows if 9.0 will support the linksys instant wireless v3 card. I have been all over the net and I cannot get my card to work with either the 8.1 or 9.0 beta, I know it is possible though. I tried the wlan and that lacks support for the v3 card, so am I just out of luck, I can't be because RH 8 supports it, ergh. The hermes mod would recoginize the card but pcmcia would report back as busy, so right now I am sitting with a fresh install of Slackware-Current.

So if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be quite helpful.

TIA
gadfly

Yeah, Slack 9.0 is probably (like 99%) sure going to run with 2.4.20 which still has orinoco driver .11b, which has timeout errors with Intersil's newer firmware, which the WPC v3 has... so... go to Dave's site and install the newer driver, .13c, which is much calmer, and the hermes.conf patch that will get added to your /etc/pcmcia directory will bind the v.3 right off the bat.

2.4.21-pre5 just saw the addition of orinoco_cs v.13b, so luckily all of these prism2 cards with spanking new firmware should be much more reliable now: WPC11 v3, DWL-650, MA401, etc.

Cheers,

Finegan
