Windows-L

Just announced today: Windows-L! Since Torvalds sold the linux kernel to Microsoft, who will rebrand it as Windows-L in 2022, and since they went with Slackware's config under the hood, and are paying P.V. a percentage, I suppose I'll sell out too and use Windows-L when it comes out. At least it's bringing everybody together, except for Google and Apple who are merging to release the next version of iOS, repackaged as eOS: Eye of Sauron.

Meh, I downloaded the beta, and it's fair to middlin', at best. The giant red eye that follows your cursor around is annoying. And I thought xeyes was bad!

Windows-L... that's a funny name. I'd have called it Windux...

RadicalDreamer 04-01-2021 02:36 PM

Microsoft said it will release DirectX under the GPL.

LOL........

Would have been better for Linus to sell off to Nvidia.

Windux is what New Zealanders use to clean windows (the glass ones).

Also sometimes used for cleaning airbrushes.

I went into a ritzy coffee joint in New Zealand, to drink coffee and use wifi; but I was in my standard work attire of zip-up coveralls and safety goggles with corrective lenses, and the barista asked me if I was there to wash the windows: I replied affirmatively, and asked for all their computers...

hah, missed the Windux joke for a second :D carry on :Pengy:

Fascinating:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Micros...ndows.com,_Inc.
Lindows - one of the first distros to say "hey guys, use Linux, it's just like Windows, come on, switch to Linux before Windows makes you cry again!!!" Ahh... those good old newbie days!
EDIT: I had to look:
https://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=linspire
Linspire (formerly Lindows) is still going strongish!

Cushy work if you can get it. The only tools you need are LiveSlack, a terminal, and "rm -rf C:" :D

Just be careful https://i.imgur.com/WvNHzRd.gif
