If you smoked less weed you'd have noticed the link I posted where I bought my Slackware zip-hoodie with classic Slackware logo.

To parphrase Neo:

Stickers. Lots of stickers.

Because then we can buy something on the other side of the world without having to pay more for postage than merchandise.

Not to be pedantic, but the Cafe Press classic logo in not the classic logo. It says Slackware Classic rather than Slackware Linux. Here's the true classic logo:

That is unless the new logo is trying to say that Slackware itself is classic. That's beyond my pay grade. I just prefer the original logo.

Hey Pat, if you are reading, drinking mugs and mouse pads with the classic logo would be nice! :)

I'd love a hat for us follically challenged people ;)

That font.... who came up with that idea? Honestly, it looks like crap... Just give us back the classical font :)

It is the "flippy" logo and allows it to be read both right-side up and upside down. Not my preferred style, but still pretty cool...

I'm more of a causal dresser, is it possible to get polo type shirts?

Ilgar 03-01-2021 01:52 AM

I liked the one with the penguin.

My guess is that those t-shirts are printed on demand. If so, then adding a new design shouldn't cost anything. I'm sure there would be poeple among us who would like to donate their designs to Pat. I don't have any skills in design but I know people who have, and maybe something good will come out.

Maybe some sort of a sticker that said

Slackware
Professional Linux.

In some modernistic, futuristic, maybe artdeco elegant minimalist way
with the left corner underline.

I found this. Doesn't appear to be official though.

There's some other somewhat similar ones too.

I got my embroidered old-school-LiLo-style logo polo shirt and hoodie from here:

https://www.hellotux.com/slackware

And in case you are wondering, he says on this page:

Quote:

From your purchase we support free software, usually $3-5 from each product sold. But not everybody can accept money due to legal reasons, in this case, we give free shirts to developers.
So I am guessing that he donates to Pat when he sells Slackware gear, although it does not say that explicitly. I am sure he would be amenable to the idea if he is not doing it already.

Besides, he has such a cute family, and seems like a decent guy worth supporting. The gear is nice quality too, FWIW.
