will full install of slackware slow my system?

Hi Guys

One simple question

IF i install slackware 12.2 full around 3 gb on my hard drive. will it slow down my system. if so

what all packages should i select to get a fast system running stricltly for desktop use. internet and multmedia. no programing and other stuff

Please help

Hi troj3n ,I see your worry . In my opinion ,it won't be slow down your system . I have a slowly PC ,and I using slackware12.2, and , I install full software on it .but now I fell it's fast like before.

How fast your computer runs depends on how many concurrently running daemons/programs your have, not how many stuff you have on your hard disk. So, I don't think it'll slow down your system.
