Wifi dongle issues (slackware-current)
Hello everyone! given the circumstances, I figured that now would be the best time to get back to slack since, well, time is the most abundant thing for me at the moment.
Right now, I have an Edup wireless dongle that I'm using to prolong the life of my verizon portable wireless hotspot. Tethering is acceptable right now, but leaving it too long on the cord causes connectivity issues from overcharging, and from what I heard- much worse down the line.
When I was on windows, I had managed to get the dongle working by installing realtek drivers from edup's website. After getting slack set back up, I tried to connect to my hotspot using wireless. For some reason, there wasn't even a prompt in NetworkManager for any sort of wifi connection at all.
I installed realtek drivers through the 14.2 slackbuilds, but still nothing works.
I don't know where exactly to even start, so here is the output of relevant dmesg, iwconfig, and lspci outputs. If you need it, I can post the entire dmesg in a new post.
