WiFi disconnects and reconnects every second

I'm on vacation this week, and my computer is having issues with the WiFi here. It connects to the network and then promptly drops the connection, reconnects, drops, etc, roughly every second. I can actually successfully browse and download things during the instant it is connected, but obviously this is not a usable situation. I am using NetworkManager, but I also tried connecting with wpa_supplicant instead, and the results were the same. I've tried with WiFi power saving on and off. I also tried the latest kernel (4.17.11) as a shot in the dark, but no luck. Any other ideas?

I can provide logs and terminal output as needed, but I will probably not be very quick I'm answering such requests due to being on vacation.

Same deal a while back; this worked for me:

open this file --> /etc/NetworkManager/conf.d/00-dhcp-client.conf

comment out dhcp=dhcpcd

uncomment dhcp=dhclient

The other option is to set ipv6 to disabled in the connection settings.
