WiFi Centrino lost with BlueTooth enable kernel 2.6.10
Slack10 & 2.6.10 on a Centrino laptop.
Centrino wifi working fine previously. enabled Bluetooth stuff in kernel (everything I think) and now wifi has ceased to exist...no eth0 at all & no response to up attempts. Any history of this withBluetooth? |
You did make a backup copy of your working kernel config file didn't you?
It sounds like you forgot to enable the support needed for your wifi card when you recompiled your kernel. |
Recompile your wireless drivers against the newly configure kernel sources. If you didn't remove wireless extensions from the kernel, it should be fine.

Sometimes I look back at my questions and get an overwhelming desire to eat donuts and shout D'OH
Of course I'd just forgotten to re-compile the most excellent ipw2200 module against the new Bluetooth enabled version of my 2.6.10 kernel. D'oh d'oh d'oh d'oh Thanks for all the gentle replies :jawa: |
