WiFi Centrino lost with BlueTooth enable kernel 2.6.10

Slack10 & 2.6.10 on a Centrino laptop.
Centrino wifi working fine previously.

enabled Bluetooth stuff in kernel (everything I think) and now wifi has ceased to exist...no eth0 at all & no response to up attempts.

Any history of this withBluetooth?

You did make a backup copy of your working kernel config file didn't you?

It sounds like you forgot to enable the support needed for your wifi card when you recompiled your kernel.

Recompile your wireless drivers against the newly configure kernel sources. If you didn't remove wireless extensions from the kernel, it should be fine.

Sometimes I look back at my questions and get an overwhelming desire to eat donuts and shout D'OH

Of course I'd just forgotten to re-compile the most excellent ipw2200 module against the new Bluetooth enabled version of my 2.6.10 kernel.

D'oh d'oh d'oh d'oh

Thanks for all the gentle replies :jawa:
