Wierd Sound Problem

Heya,

Just upgraded(fresh install) to Slackware 11. Everything going great, smooth install, all my hardware seems to have been setup properly. I copy my music, in WMA format, over from my Windows machine. Copies fine, I get to AmaroK and try to play, it skims through all of the files without any sound(just skips from one to another). So I try to install the w32codecs. Can't find them for Slackware. So I try a different aproach and check if xine can play the files. Xine shows that it is playing the files, but no sound. So I open kmix to find that all the volume levels are down, I turn them up and Xine plays fine. AmaroK still will not play them and I've noticed that Flash movies/games won't play sound either. Any suggestions?

Check sound configuration with command line (as root): alsamixer
- move up volumes for master and PCM
- exit by pressing ESC

Then store the new setting by typing: alsactl store
