now when ever I play any video file (e.g; mpg, mpeg, avi etc) all my video players (e.g; gxine) don't do anything they crash or only show me blue screen without any video display, tell me is there a problem with my driver of mother board or there is some other problem. my mother board is of asus and there vga card is built in.
You need to get codecs. You can download some codecs from http://www.mplayerhq.hu. Once you do that, you will need to know
where to place the codecs. I believe by default gxine reads codecs
from /usr/lib/win32, so I would place the codecs there.
I know that by default mplayer reads from /usr/local/lib/codecs. So
to satisfiy the two, you can put the codecs in /usr/local/lib/codecs,
and then just create a symlink from /usr/lib/win32 pointing to
/usr/local/lib/codecs.

MPlayer interrupted by signal 6 in module: vo_check_events
- MPlayer crashed. This shouldn't happen.
It can be a bug in the MPlayer code _or_ in your drivers _or_ in your
gcc version. If you think it's MPlayer's fault, please read
DOCS/HTML/en/bugreports.html and follow the instructions there. We can't and
won't help unless you provide this information when reporting a possible bug.
