Why "slackpkg install-new" tries to install kde packages?
Hi
Maybe it's stupid question, but I can't find the answer ;) I have installed Slackware 14 without KDE (unmarked during installation), so why, when I run "slackpkg install-new", it tries to install about 20 or more kde packages like kalzium, kamera, kate, kanagram...? Now, I know I can unmark them, but its pretty annoying to do it every time I update the system. |

Because these packages were added, not since Slackware-14.0 but since Slackware-13.37.
In other words they have been added during the last development cycle. "man slackpkg" says Code:
install-new |
Just one other point

Thanks guys, I didn't really expect an answer so soon! I'm new to Slackware and must have read some bad "howto" about keeping Slack up to date, but now I see how it works.
I will mark it as solved, thanks again. |
