*resolved*Why can't i get Korean in KDE after full slack install?

Hi Ya,

I just did a full slack 11.0 with KDE 3.5 install and can't get korean, chinese or japenese, all other languages are ok, i select language from the control centre i get characters that are square boxes all the same, how can i fix this?

Install http://ftp.sayclub.com/pub/X/KDE/sta...3-noarch-1.tgz

Hi Jens,

the slack cd installed all languages,

where do i extract it to?

Nylex 10-12-2006 12:57 AM

You don't extract it anywhere. You just install the package with "installpkg filename.tgz".

Nylex - Thanks,

OK i did that, it made no difference, i closed KDE and reloaded it, it still displays squares? any ideas?

has anyone else experenced this?

It seems you need .ttf fonts with korean/japanese characters:
