Why ALSA crash my machine?

I use Slackware Linux 10.0, with standart kernel bary.i.
I use software RAID 0.
When I start my machine after 15-20 minutes the system is busy for a minute.
I check this out and I sew that there is a process modprobe.old with 99.9 % CPU load.
This process block my machine for a minute but after 15-20 minutes again.

This is not constantly, some when the machine works fine but sometimes . . .

When I give of /sbin/modprobe.old 000 permissions I have no any problem
But it is not standart decision.

How to solve the problem?

Thanks in advance.

What kernel version are you using, try "uname -r" to see details, and was this the kernel supplied with Slack, or hand-compiled? Also which sound are you using and which module is it using?

The kernel is standart kernel from Slackware CD set.
The kernel is 2.4.29 and it's name is bari.i.

I tried with other kernels but without any result.
I think that the problem is somewhere in Slack.
I changed the /etc/rc.d start up files but nothing.

I think the problem is in Slack but the kernel start and manage this problem.

What I to do, is there anyone with the same problem with Slack?
