Who maintains slackware???

so, go back to Slackware 10.2 or wait for Pat to fix the problem.

I feel almost like a fanboy for asking this, but what text editor does Patrick Volkerding use?

Hey people! I would like to know how many people are directly working in maintaining, updating, developing slackware? Is it only Patrick? I am asking this because I think it is really weird the latest release being from the last year and using 2.4.x kernel. Is slackware abandoned or something?

Ok, everyone says Slackware 11.0 will be available soon...but will that be one release/year?
Another signal that Slackware is a little "abandoned":

Slack isn't "abandoned" at all.
It's kept this way for security sake

Ok, but isn't there an official number about anyone else but Patrick working directly on Slackware development?

...Sarcasm alert...
Has Windows Vista been abandoned? How many people are working on that?

Well, if you wish you can leave unanswered. It is up to you. I just want to have an idea about how many people maintain Slackware, or if Patrick is responsable for every package that is uploaded to the ftp.

Check the changelog - lots of people work on it (random strangers are encouraged to drop him a line with notes about more up to date packages, bug fix updates, etc), but Patrick does most of the actual work.

Ok, so he is the only responsable for uploading files in the ftp, programming the installer, etc.?

I am not criticizing Patrick's work, just saying that there should be more people working directly on the development.

Basically, yes.
He has a some regular contributors, and the whole Slackware Business has a relativelly-small crew working on it, but the Slackware meat comes from Pat, as he mantains/compiles/upgrades/packages/etc... the Software.
I guess you could ask him to get a more exact answer, he's usually a very nice person, but it could take a while to get an answer as he's kind of bussy.
