where is 'cpuinfo_cur_freq' located in Slackware 12.2

I have used slocate to find cpuinfo_cur_freq, doesn't seem to be there on my system.

Has it been removed in recent versions?

Definitely not there on my build. There are only two folders, 'cache' and 'topology'.

Well, if you are just wanting the current frequency, I have done it since 10.2 this way:

Code:
cat /proc/cpuinfo
This will tell you your current frequency and it does adjust based on frequency scaling (speedscaling on Intel, and I don't remember what AMD calls theirs).

That means your cpufreq drivers aren't loaded. (For all recent Intel machines, the correct driver is acpi-cpufreq).
