Giogio: didn't you try the precompiled version ?
anyway, for testing, see the file "semtouch.txt" that came in the tarball.

good luck.

CWWilson721: that file comes with xorg also.
xorg has some parts of xfree.
i have the cvs version of 2 weeks ago, and that file was installed in ../include/xorg/.
Slackware has xorg-6.9 and that is organised in a different way.
My guess is that file was not installed in the old setup, and it is now.

Yes I tried it at first glance, but I tried to compile it with the version of X that comes with slackware, to be sure there is no other problem.
So for safety now I have 2 little different versions.
Unfortunately now I have a problem with the hardware recognition of the device because it seems that, on the contrary of what stated on the semtouch.txt file, my system is unable to mount it at the proper point (something like the "event2" point).
After I will be able to recognize properly the hardware I surely will try the both modules.
Thanx
Giogio

Thumbs up

Ok, just to close all the thread.
After compiling I was able to mount the driver in the proper way, but I had to take in account that the driver, as is, was just for Kernel 2.6.x. It seems missing an "attach point" (sorry for the not too technical words) driver for the Kernel 2.4.x
Thank you alla again,
Giogio
