My guess is -> on the internet. :D

You're not mentioning which WM you're using or anything...currently, I'm using KDE, which can be made an orgy in transparency (easily set through menus/the control center). Some apps (i.e., XChat) have own transparency options. As for wallpapers, you might want to check out DeviantART, for example. If you're using KDE or GNOME, you also might want to take a look at KDE-look.org and art.gnome.org, although the latter has been a bit sleepy lately. Qui quaerit invenit.

Transparent desktop widgets are only useful for vanity screenshots.

In (productive) reality, it can make you blind within a few hours ;)

If you want some "AWESOME" backgrounds, goto the Nasa/Hubble telescope page and get some of the pictures that are offered. that were taken by Hubble!!

the resolution/color is superb!!

If you use kde do the following..

Click on the K (taskbar)
Click on settings
Click on control Center
Click on Appearence and Themes
Click on Style
Click on effects
and make the menus and stuff transparent.. Thats all there is to it..
