Where'd my network go?

Hi,

I recently upgraded from 2.4.26 to 2.6.7 -- seeing that my burner didn't work in 2.4.26 -- and my network has seemingly dissappeared off the face of the earth.

An lspci shows that linux has detected my ethernetcard, and i've used netconfig (again, and again, and again) to configure the network with no results.

when i try to ping, i get an "unknown host" error all the time, whatever server / IP i put in there.

Can anyone help me please?

You probably needed to add a line to lilo.conf to get your burner working w/ 2.4.26

Can you post the output from /sbin/ifconfig

$ lspci shows the cards that are present - not necessarily that linux is using

How about the outputs of:

$ lsmod

$ /sbin/ifconfig eth0 (as requested above)
