When I am trying to boot in KDE it fails to show Application menu & plasma panel?

Just finished installing Slackware [after 8~9 years of last installation ^_^] 14.1 [64bit] in Oracle virtualbox.

I assigned 9gb disk & installed everything. Now my virtual disk is 84% utilized.
When I am trying to boot in KDE [using startx command] it fails to show Application menu & plasma panel.
What can be the issue?

If I run 'xwmconfig', it doesn't show "GNOME" in the list.
It just shows KDE & some xfce options to start Slackware in GUI mode.
Right now I am in xfce & I can see "Applications Menu" from where I can open various applications.

Pls suggest 1) How can I repair KDE issue? 2) How can I boot Slackware in GNOME?

Thanks & Regards,
Amey.

GNOME is not shipped on default Slackware, it was dropped a few years ago.
You would need to post more info to get help about your KDE issue.
