There's a sticky thread at the top of this forum for all speculation on the next Slackware release. This post should be part of said thread.

the news section of distrowatch.com is excelent to know about new releases, existant distros, intended public of each, supporting architectures, etc

Besides of what Nylex said: what do you hope to gain
from the "next release" that the current doesn't give you?

It's not like Pat will turn Slack into XP over night ;}

Cheers,
Tink

nice word for nice man
what i was saying that i need new packages with kernal2.6 as defult and making installing slack more easier than before,.......

Making install more easier then well that's not Slackware. To use Slackware you got to get your hands a bit dirty but hopefully the next release will have the 2.6 kernel as default.

Only Pat knows for sure when the next version will be released untill then us Slackers can only wait.

Best to use the sticky above as suggested by Nylex if you want to talk about Slackware 11 and such.
