What Type of RAM do I need
How can I tell what kind of ram my system takes without opening it up and popping the ram out?
I figure that there's a way to do it via the terminal but don't know what command to use. |
Linux will give you information on your machine's memory controller, but I don't think it'll give you specifics like the type of memory module. You're more likely to have luck with something like Crucial's memory advisor tool.

Thanks, that did the trick!
